Quick Checklist

• Keep your pond clear of leaves by placing a net over the water or by removing the leaves by hand.
• Cut back hardy pond plants after growth has stopped and lower them to the bottom of the pond.
• Remove tropical pond plants.
• Stop feeding your fish after the water temperature is below 50 degrees.
• Turn off the pump and remove all tubing or reduce pump flow and move the pump up towards the top of the water if leaving the pump on all winter.
• Add a de-icer, leave the pump on and/or place floating objects to keep at least a small opening if the pond freezes over.
